2. Check the intake manifold. Flex-Fuel engines use an aluminum intake manifold with an additional cold-start injector; non-Flex-Fuel models use a plastic manifold.
   
3. Check the engine code. North American Flex-Fuel B8.5 A4/A5 models use CPMA or CPMB engines. The engine code may be found on the vehicle data sticker in the spare tire well or service booklet.
