The factory installed downpipe in your Jetta or GLI is a very small diameter and causes high back pressure holding back the full power potential of your turbocharger. upgrading your 2013.5+ Jetta 2.0T ECU software to Stage 2 will require you to remove that factory downpipe restriction with a performance downpipe. Unlocking those Stage 2 and beyond power numbers with an IE Downpipe guarantees maximum flow and performance along with a perfect fit and reliable operation.
Stage 2 ECU tuning is required, for the most power gains possible we also highly recommend an IE air intake and IE FDS intercooler.

Just installed this piece earlier in the day on a full bolt-on '17 GLI with Stage 2 Tuning hooked up to factory cutback and this downpipe is absolutely perfect! More power, lighter throttle response, and absolutely zero exhaust noise added (getting too old for that lol) in the interior. Drives and sounds just like stock but with a lighter, snappier pedal. A great product I'd recommend to anyone.
