Q5 2.0T STAGE 2

Ready for more? The iE Stage 2 ECU tune with an upgraded downpipe delivers the most performance potential available from your stock engine and turbocharger with a tire-spinning 337-377HP and 410-456ft-lbs of torque! Maximum accelration gains are realized across the powerband with options for 91, 93, 104, or TrueFlex ethanol fuels. Stage 2 includes aggressive exhaust afterrun in sport mode.

Upgrading to the iE TCU tune significantly enhances shift speeds, eliminates torque limiters, increases line pressure to prevent transmission slip, and introduces user-adjustable launch control functions. VARIABLE LAUNCH CONTROL

Tailored for optimal performance, choose from three distinct launch options: street, aggressive, and race. Each option increases the launch RPMs, allowing you to customize the launch experience to suit your vehicle and tire setup for the best grip and take-off power. Each launch setting offers two RPM launch and AMAX options, easily controlled by the throttle pedal:

  • Apply 100% throttle input without engaging the kickdown switch to launch from the minimal chosen RPM without AMAX.

  • Engage full pedal pressure while activating the kickdown switch to launch with an additional 400RPMs and trigger AMAX in all shifts, delivering the most aggressive launch and pull strategy.

Your tune purchase entitles you to free updates to any tune revisions, new octanes, standard features, or software updates. In the event the original vehicle manufacturer issues an ECU or TCU update, this will also be included to you through iE at no additional charge.

TUNE REGISTRATION
Once a tune purchase is applied to your vehicle's ECU or TCU, the tune is permanently registered to the vehicle and non-transferable to other vehicles. Tunes can be transferred to a second party in the event of vehicle transfer of ownership only.

Although IE does offer ROW purchases of software files, some ECUs available only in certain countries or markets may not be supported in our current file library. If you have access to read your ECU code, please contact us to verify compatibility before purchase.

So much more power

I don't have access to a dyno near me, so I have to rely on the feel of my car. However, the modifications I made, including this and a transmission tune, have significantly improved the power and acceleration of my 2018 Q5.

Feels like a different car, especially after the TCU tune.

This is my first time tuning myself. I've only had APR tunes in the past on my A4, that I always had to get done at the shop.

Tuning process:

This diy tuning process is super easy. You plug the dongle into your OBD port, put a trickle charger on your battery, and make sure the hood is open. The checklist of steps are displayed on the iphone app, and it doesn't let you start till you do them all. I didn't time it but I think it took about 30 mins to download and apply the tune. I did the stage 1 tune first and drove it for a couple months, and then bought the TCU tune when it came out last month. The TCU tune process was the same as the stage 1, took about 20-30 min to complete.

Driving performance:

The stage 1 tune felt great. Strong low end torque, you can feel when you get on the gas, but drives just like normal, when you don't smash it. Before the TCU tune there was a slight delay, and then a very strong pull of torque, much stronger than stock. After the TCU tune the acceleration is became more instant and continuous. The difference in the way the car drives is noticeable all the time after doing both ECU/TCU tunes together. It just feels like a faster car all around, at all speeds. Knowing what the before-and-after feels like, I would say the stage 1 tune is incomplete without the TCU update. You definitely need to do these 2 upgrades together for the full potential. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to make their drive more exciting. It just feels…

LOVE THE POWER!!!!

I loved the power bump it was the wake-up this car needed, i already had the intake that I bought from the company but this tune just topped it off. Off the line the torque is crazy, and driving the car is very fun. I'm considering doing the transmission tune next.

Excellent tune and power delivery!

I have previously had APR Stage 2 on an Audi A4, Unitronic Stage 2 on a 2019 MK7 GTI, and now Stage 1 IE on my 2020 Q5. This tune is incredible! The awful stock throttle lag is now gone which I found unbelievably annoying, and it now has loads of torque for quicker acceleration. Literally a night and day difference. First time I have tuned a car myself and although a bit nerve racking, it was straight forward and easy. Small detail though...after the tune the instructions say to start the car, turn off the car, then start the car again. The car will NOT start after the tune until you turn it off first. This gave me a mild heart attack. But once I did that all was well! I wish IE would make a downpipe to take advantage of their Stage 2 tune. They do not have one nor were able to recommend one. I feel like it's not necessary for power, but would like it more for an additional exhaust sound. Awesome all around though, great job IE!
