Stage 2 is a full performance calibration to account for aftermarket downpipes looking for increased exhaust sound for track use. Due to the efficient 4.0L engine and stock turbo sizing, factory downpipes are not a restriction and upgrades do not increase power over Stage 1 with upgraded intake numbers.

REQUIRES DSG TUNE

All stages of IE calibrations for the C7 & C7.5 S6 & S7 require a matching DSG Tune for installation. Due to turbo sizing and engine characteristics, massive torque gains are seen through the low-mid range of the powerband. This exceeds the torque limitations of the factory DSG calibration and will cause slipping in the clutch packs. The factory shift maps are also not properly tuned for the new ECU powerband and causes a large performance loss without it. Instead of sandbagging power and reducing performance, your IE ECU tune is safely engineered to fully realize all available performance, but will require the additional purchase of the DSG transmission tune to reliably take advantage of the intense power.

E85 ETHANOL

E85 fuel unlocks the most performance potential from our ECU tunes for your Audi S6 or S7. Ethanol contains tons of oxygen, burns cooler, and has a high resistance to knock. This provides more horsepower and torque than running conventional gasoline and is more readily available (in most states) and less expensive than race gas. E85 is an optional fuel map included with all tune purchases.

E65-E85 ADAPTABLE

Although full E85 is recommended for the highest power output, safeguards are included within the E85 ECU calibrations to adjust for ethanol as low as E65. This flexibility gives you the confidence to safely fill up at the pump which can commonly test lower than advertised.

CYLINDER DEACTIVATION

The factory ECU calibration includes many compromises removed by your IE Tune. One of the most problematic is the stock cylinder deactivation which attempts to increase fuel economy by only running 4 cylinders when cruising. This causes rough shift, loss of power, and is believed to cause early failures of motor mounts. Cylinder deactivation is completely turned off on all IE files. If you want to keep cylinder deactivation, we will reactivate on request.

LET YOUR V8 ROAR!

Your Audi S6 or S7 has a powerful twin-turbo V8, it's time to sounds like one too! To help accomplish this, we have included two optional features on all stages that will make your eight cylinder turbo sound like the king of the streets. Add the motorsport-inspired Exhaust Crackle and/or a lopey idle with Ghost Cam. These addicting features exist purely to add more fun and excitement to your drive and can be turned on or off at will with your IE POWERlink.

GHOST CAM

The optional Ghost Cam feature uses the 4.0T's variable valve timing to produce a race ready and lopey V8 idle. This cam-idle is active during idle only and will return to normal function during driving.  

EXHAUST CRACKLE

Enabling the Exhaust Crackle feature will add a motorsport-inspired crackle sound to your exhaust note when you free-rev the engine or decelerate.

Exhaust Crackle & Ghost Cam features are available on stock hardware, but exhaust modifications are highly recommended for the loudest results.

EASY INSTALL

IE's POWERlink Cable and Flash Wizard software gives you the freedom to quickly flash your new IE ECU Tune. Simply plug your POWERlink into the vehicle's OBD-2 port and follow the on-screen directions, it's that easy!

DIRECT PORT

The IE POWERlink is a powerful direct-port tool that plugs directly into your vehicle's OBD-2 terminal. This grants instant access to flash and upgrade tune stages, switch fuel octanes, turn on/off features, flash back to stock, perform engine diagnostics, and record logs with the built-in data logger from the comfort of your own driveway.

OCTANE SWITCHING

All IE C7/C7.5 S6 & S7 stages include multiple octane options. Using your IE Powerlink, you can easily switch between calibrations for different fuels and unlock different power levels. Depending on the Stage, choose from 91, 93, and E85 octanes.

Note: When changing fuels, allow the car to idle for a two to three minutes after fuel is changed and then switch calibration. Light misfires may happen while fuel trims come online, it is recommended to drive easy on the car for the first few miles.

UPGRADE STAGES

Upgrading from Stage 1 to Stage 2 or beyond is easy! With IE, you only pay the difference in tune cost with no extra fees. WOW... just WOW

I have had performance cars in the past, but I don't think that I've ever had a car with such a night/day difference between it's stock tune and a stage 1 tune. I chose IE because I don't plan on spending insane amounts of money on a bunch of performance parts, so I do not plan on passing stage 1. I am so incredibly happy that I chose IE for this because of recommendations from others on the forums and from FB. When I saw the FedEx truck deliver a package to the front door, I ran to pick up the package and get to downloading and installing the tune on my car. Definitely eased into things as I wanted the car to take note of the differences and later in the evening decided to give the car a little gas and couldn't believe how much harder the car pulled from what I was used to as well as the great sound of the crackle tune when downshifting. I want to give a BIG KUDOS to IE for putting a great product on the market.

Exceeded expectations!!

I have been using the stage one tunes with dsg tune for a little over a month now and could not be happier! The car gets pretty great gas mileage on road trips now. (Actually doubled the driving distance!!) The e85 tune is absolutely amazing. Night and day difference from gasoline to e85. Overall very happy!

Great tune

I placed both the TCU and ECU tune on my 2018 Audi S6 about 3 weeks ago. The tune decreased my 0-60 by about 1 second. The fastest (non-launch control) 0-60 time was 3.9 seconds. I have not tried launch control in this car. Passing other cars (starting at about 50 mph) went from a strong pull (stock) to almost violent when I floor the pedal. The only downside is that there still seems to be a lag between when I punch the pedal (from standstill) and when the car responds. I was hoping this would improve more than it has. This is my first car where I don't directly control the clutch.
