TAILORED FIT

Gaining more flow is all in the size and shape of the turbo inlet pipe within the constraints of the factory engine bay. 3D scans of the engine bay and stock inlet pipe were taken to identify the space available. This allows us to maximize the design's flow characteristics without any clearance issues or to rub expensive factory hoses or lines. This results in a substantially effective 4" inner diameter cross section taking up all available space for the most physical airflow possible.

CAST ALUMINUM

IE Turbo inlets are manufactured from aircraft-grade aluminum castings and CNC machined in-house to manufacture the optimized shapes and unique bends required to achieve our turbo inlet's massive size and airflow. SLIP-FIT EASY INSTALL

There is no getting around it; our turbo inlet is HUGE! With such a massive design, clearances are tight, and the factory lower bolt location can be a frustrating bolt to install. Not with IE! For a hassle-free installation, our design features a billet aluminum retainer post that creates a leak-free slip fit for the bottom bolt making the process fast, smooth, and easy!

FLOW RESULTS

IE engineers have completely thrown out the factory plastic inlet design and started from the ground up to maximize performance. Utilizing advanced engineering techniques and industry-leading manufacturing processes, IE's Turbo Inlet Pipe takes full advantage of all available space with a unique shape to maximize airflow. This optimized design results in massive flow gains when coupled with an IE air intake system.

CNC MACHINED IN-HOUSE

Since the IE inlet is designed to fit the largest space for high-flow as possible, the machine work required for the raw aluminum castings must be done with incredibly tight tolerances. Utilizing our own in-house CNC machines, each casting undergoes multiple operations and is verified with a strict quality control process. This ensures every inlet is shipped out with a beautiful machined finish and a precise installation.

INSTALLATION

IE's Turbo Inlet fits Audi B9 SQ5 3.0T V6 Turbocharged engines without any modifications or installation hassles. The install process is straightforward and can be done with basic tools.

Fitment is not verified on non-IE brand intakes without modification

Turbo noise!

Stage 1 tune, intake and turbo inlet pipe, completely new car compared to stock. Easy install with the IE adapter from the turbo, took me more time to get the stock adapter off than to install intake and turbo inlet.

Lovin' my turbo inlet!

The IE turbo inlet is very well made. I powder coated mine since the goal with my build is to keep things looking as close to stock as possible. It's a bit more expensive than others out there, but looking at the inlet size (HUGE), quality of adapter and perfect fit, seems like money well spent to me.

This install was more frustrating than expected. The lower bolt was difficult to get to, as expected. The good part is that it is easy to see and after lots of fiddling around, an allen head worked perfectly (pic attached). Once it is loosened, it can be backed-out with fingers. The difficult part for me was getting those darned o-rings to sit in place.

Tip - Re-installing evap hose on bottom was also difficult for me. Using a tie-down strap wrapped around the bottom of it and pulling up made it easy to get snapped in place.

Attached is another pic of the IE turbo inlet next to stock as well as another aftermarket unit. It is huge.

Although the ****-dyno can't tell a difference in power, there is a bit more turbo noise, which is nice (my stock air box has a K&N and cut-outs to help breathing)

TOP NOTCH TUNE!

The are beautifully made although I have not been able to use them as I switched cars and had to immediately return them and am waiting to reorder the right ones for the car I purchased. I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE THE STAGE 1 TUNE ITS AMAZING.
