NEW B9 SQ5 1/4TH MILE WORLD RECORD
To add to the already impressive list of performance success, our customers keep delivering. And our latest record might just be our most impressive yet. This is the fastest quarter mile we’ve yet seen!
IE customer David Musiyenko stepped up to the plate with his IE-powered Audi B9 SQ5 on November 17th. He piloted the turbocharged SUV down the Sacramento Raceway with an incredible 10.17 1/4th mile at 133.37MPH. In doing so, he set the new B9 SQ5 1/4th time world record and did IE proud! Congratulations to David on his fastest quarter mile record!
ONE SERIOUSLY FAST SUV
The Audi SQ5 B9 is the fastest known SQ5, and with good reason.
To put the power of this daily-driven SUV into perspective, look at the facts and figures. That quarter-mile run achieved a supercar 0 to 60 mph time of 2.46 seconds! The 60-foot launch is a blistering 1.54 seconds and pulled 60-130mph in only 7.11 seconds! All with off-the-shelf IE parts and tuning!
Even more impressive, this is not a drag-car build towed around on a trailer. David drove his SQ5 24 hours to the track, ran low 10s all day, then back home on a 1700-mile round-trip under its own power! This reliable street vehicle can set records all weekend, then back to soccer-dad duty on Monday!
Audi SUVs keep on delivering off the gate, and our custom take on the SQ5 B9 is no exception. Though it’s not as fast as the RS Q8, it’s still a speedy little demon. If you think the unique internal chassis for the B9 is too new to be truly tested, think again. This is one SUV that is ready to change your assumptions!

Just look at that launch time. The SQ5 B9 might be heavy, but it is ready to go. But you can see how the performance delivered right to the finish line. The acceleration and mid-range power delivery just didn’t let up, meaning that 106.86 was an easy feat.
But it’s those final two numbers that really stun! The top end power might be too much for some SUVs, but here David’s didn’t break a sweat. The efficient powertrain, stunning aerodynamics, and custom alterations we made are what sealed the deal. All in all, it was a record hard-won.
