Important Note: 2021+ models are equipped with advanced security locks that prevent Stage 2 Transmission tuning. iE calibrators are currently working on bypassing the security to offer TCU tuning for all model years. In the meantime, iE TCU Stage 1 is fully compatible and will allow full power output from the ECU tune.

How do I install the iE B9 RS5 tune?
Plug the POWERlink into your OBD2 port, open the app on your Apple or Android phone, and follow the steps. The flash takes minutes.
How much power does iE B9 RS5 tune add?
Stock, Audi advertises the B9 RS5 at 444 HP. iE Stage 1 produces 502 HP on 91 octane, 522 HP on 93, and up to 604 HP with iE TrueFlex ethanol. Your results will vary with fuel quality, local conditions, dyno brand, and correction factors.
Do I need a transmission tune?
Not for Stage 1 or Stage 2. A Stage 1 TCU file that raises the transmission torque limits is included at no cost. The full iE Transmission Tune is optional and highly recommended. Stage 3 requires the matching transmission tune.
Does Stage 2 make more power than Stage 1?
No. The factory downpipes on the B9 RS5 2.0T do not restrict the stock turbos, so power is the same with aftermarket downpipe upgrades only. Stage 2 adds the calibration needed to run an aftermarket downpipe, plus a more aggressive exhaust overrun.
Can I run E85 with iE B9 RS5 tuning?
Yes. Ethanol options are available on all stages. TrueFlex adapts automatically to any blend and requires without the need to manually measure your ethanol or reflash your tune at the pump. More on TrueFlex.
Is iE RS5 tuning safe for a daily driver?
Yes. iE AutoProtect is included on every tune stage for the B9 RS5. If it detects a problem it lowers boost and power to protect the engine, then restores power when conditions return to normal. More on AutoProtect.
What does it cost to upgrade iE tuning suites from Core to Pro or Apex?
Only the price difference between the two suites, with no extra fees added. You can upgrade Stages and POWERlink Tuning Suites at anytime in the POWERlink app.
Are iE tune updates free?
Yes. Your purchase includes free updates to tune revisions, new octanes, standard features, and software updates. If Audi issues an ECU update, that is included at no charge too.
Can I use my iE POWERlink on another car?
Yes, your iE POWERlink OBD-II tool can be used on up to 5 different supported VINs. Tunes are sold separately for each car.
Can I move an iE tune to a different car?
No. Once your tune is purchased and flashed to your ECU, the tune is permanently registered to that vehicle.
My car is a 2021 or newer. Can the transmission be tuned?
Possibly. 2022-2024 RS5 cars have limited support because some transmissions have security locks that require a special unlock procedure. Follow the Audi B9.5 TCU Unlock Guide in your POWERlink app before buying a transmission tune.

One mod away from a full bolt on.
2018 RS5 I.E. Stage 2 ECU+TCU 034 downpipes APR Catback ehaust I.E. Carbon Fiber intake and Turbo inlet pipe Next stop FDS air to air intercooler cant friggin wait. At this stage in this cars life with almost 80k miles on it and at least 4 different owners before it came to me just this past December one would think that the car would be showing it's age with things like power loss transmission slipping etc. etc. but the only problem I've had with this car was a leaky water pump which was covered by the warranty from the dealer. As far as the tune goes I am thoroughly enjoying the reduced turbo lag and throttle responsiveness it seems to be just what an already fast car from the factory needed to wake it up just that much more. I live in Anne Arundle county Maryland which is predominately a Mustang and Camaro area along with big lifted pickups so you don't tend to see a lot of if any suped up Audi's around here. But lately I have been seeing a lot of the youth in this area with tricked out JDM's and used beemers so it's slowly changing. It makes me laugh when I pull into a Royal Farms or 7-11 and let off the throttle and the overrun crackles start poppin I get the disgusted side eye from people my age (53) and fist pumps and stank face from all the young dudes.

B9.5 Audi RS5
Great tune and very straightforward install! The car is already pretty quick, but this really takes it up a notch with doing a major car overhaul. Unfortunately, my build year hasn’t had the TCU unlocked by IE…yet, but can’t wait for that to become an option.

Car is a whole new monster
Install couldn’t have been easier other than a small communication issue between dongle and phone. Just had to reconnect the dongle and open the app again. Didn’t take hardly anytime at all to do the flash, ECU, and TCU tune. MAYBE :30-:45 total.

Absolutely Bananas
Flashed Stage 1+ E85 and the car is totally different animal. Power delivery hits hard while even rolling. Only "complaint" is the insanely long flashing time. It took 67 minutes just for ECU to flash from stage 1 to stage 1+. This makes being able to switch at the pump, pretty much impossible in a busy area.
