Heat soak occurs when the heat generated exceeds the cooling capacity of the intercooler. The most common symptom is the noticeable loss of power after long term acceleration or several back-to-back power pulls. By greatly increasing the core size and useable area of the core with FDS technology, we have eliminated the heat soak, keeping the intake air temperatures consistently lower than OEM and competition intercoolers.

Dedicated to life-long reliable operation, the end tanks are manufactured from from high quality aluminum castings with ultra-thick and reinforced mounting. When it comes to fitting this massive IC into place, there is no room for error. All mounting bosses and surfaces are in-house precision CNC machined and hand verified for an exact fit.

NO BOOST LEAKS

Nothing is worse than a boost leak! Advanced CNC machining of the inlet and outlet produces a high-grip surface that locks the silicone into place. A flat stop edge prevents the hose from being installed too far forward while a beveled edge adds enhanced grip for the hose clamp to stop it from sliding back. This high attention to detail creates a friction grip keeping your boost hoses in place for good.

PRECISION BUILT

Manufacturing the largest intercooler on the market is not easy and leaves no room for mistakes. After the end tanks are meticulously in-house CNC machined, the core and tanks are combined with incredible precision TIG welding. Every single intercooler goes through a multi-point critical inspection and is tested on our leak-down station before shipping. This work ensures a reliable product that it is ready to install.

PERFECT FIT

Despite it's size and features, the IE FDS intercooler is a perfect OEM replacement and requires no modifications to install. Mounting points for the factory radiator and intercooler mounts are machined in. Stainless steel mount brackets are included for an improved and stronger condenser mount. Running a Vortex XL on 28 lbs of boost to red line and I see no more than a 3 degree increase from a 1-4 pull. Great intercooler and never an issue.

Massive size

After purchasing this intercooler, delivery was fast and reliable. Upon opening the box initial thoughts were there's no way this can fit. But sure enough a couple hours later the fitment was perfect, install was simple and easy with the instructions provided. As for the performance, temps have dropped 15-20 degrees and stay lower even after multiple high power pulls. Couldn't be happier

Perfect Fit

I have a 2017 Audi S3 with the pre-sense/ACC sensor located on the bottom center of the front grille. I had zero fitment issues with this intercooler. No trimming or modification was required to fit this intercooler which was a big concern for me when I was looking for an intercooler for my car because of the location of the pre-sense/ACC sensor. This intercooler is very well made and install was not too terrible if you have some time on your hands and are a tad handy. Definitely a worthwhile modification!

One of my fav mods

I’ve had this intercooler for a year now and it’s just been an amazing experience. Everyone who saw it pre install was impressed by the quality and size. Fit was most impressive, zero issues. When I first experienced a pull I said word for word “hehehah YESSS” and I’ve been pullin it ever since.

Great performance and quality

Mechanic who did the install was thoroughly impressed with the quality, fit and finish of this IE + essentially OEM like fitment. Although this isn't necessary for stage 1, an aftermarket IC was important for my build in order to battle heat soak during these hot summers in Phoenix. I definitely notice a substantial difference in the number of pulls I can do compared to stock IC. This is a must for anyone who lives in hot temps.
