Intake Manifold FAQs

Buying an aftermarket performance intake manifold is a game-changer for enthusiasts looking to squeeze more power and efficiency out of their engines.

  • Increased horsepower and torque
  • Better air distribution across cylinders
  • Supports other engine modifications
  • Increased durability under high-performance conditions
  • Customization options and improved aesthetics
  • Greater tuning potential
  • Fitment for additional injectors and larger throttle bodies

We provide manifolds for most popular Audi, and VW models, so whether you’re looking for a VW MK6 GTI intake manifold, Audi B8 A4 Intake Manifold, VW Rabbit 2.5L intake manifold or other VW / Audi, we’ve got you covered.

All of our intake manifolds incorporate "velocity stacks" and we in creating them, we’ve utilized CFD flow dynamics.

We also engineer our manifolds on and off our in house engine dyno to get the tuning just right to deliver maximum power gains.

Models: B8 / B8.5 A4, A5, MK5 GTI, MK6 GTI, MK5 Rabbit, MK6 Golf 2.5L, MK4 GTI 1.8T, MK4 GLI 1.8t

An intake manifold that no longer effectively brings air into the engine’s cylinders can lead to a number of other issues. Because intake manifolds have a key impact on an an engine’s air-fuel ratio, when they break, this ratio can become severely compromised, becoming too lean or too rich. That in turn can lead to everything from idling trouble to decreased performance and even extra wear on key engine components that could eventually lead to overheating.

VW FSI and TSI intake manifolds also frequently have their “runner flaps” fail, which causes rough starting, increased emissions, and a check engine light.

It is not recommended due to the poor performance, poor fuel economy, and potential engine damage.

Intake manifolds, along with other associated components like the cold air intake itself, bring cold air into the engine’s cylinders to enable combustion to occur. Combustion is the driving force that powers any ICE (internal combustion engine). Therefore intakes and intake manifolds are a key engine component.

Common symptoms of a leaking intake manifold include:

  • Poor engine performance
  • Increased fuel consumption
  • Rough engine idling
  • Strange or abnormal engine noises, including hissing or tapping sounds
  • Check engine light
  • Occasionally, visible signs of a leak, such as coolant pooling or oil leaks near the manifold area
