Does this require a tune?
No. This is a true bolt-on airflow upgrade that functions safely on completely stock software. Because an ECU tune removes factory restrictions and supports higher boost, a tune is required to realize the full performance potential of these pipes, however it isn't necessary.
Will this fit my intercooler?
Yes. This system is designed as a direct replacement for the factory charge piping and fits the stock intercooler as well as any aftermarket intercooler that uses factory connection locations, including the iE FDS™ Performance Intercooler.
Is this a “throttle pipe” or “turbo outlet pipe”?
Both! This charge pipe kit replaces the entire air path from the turbocharger outlet to the intercooler, and from the intercooler to the throttle body. For a complete airflow system, pair this upgrade with the iE High-Flow Air Intake and iE FDS™ Intercooler.
Will this fix a boost leak?
If you’re blowing off couplers or seeing leaks at the factory connection points or O-rings, yes. The iE High-Flow™ Charge Pipe Kit replaces the stock plastic connections with welded, mechanical Grip-Lock™ pipe ends, heavy-duty silicone couplers, and clamps designed to eliminate the most common Audi B9 boost-leak failure points.
Is there a methanol bung?
Threading into thin-wall charge piping creates a structural weak point. For safer and more reliable water-methanol injection, we recommend using the integrated methanol port found on the thick cast end.
Does this kit work with hybrid turbos?
Yes this product works with all the hybrid turbochargers we have tested.
