Designed for bolt-on installation on MK5 platform 2.5L engines equipped with the iE Intake Manifold only
Also fits many 2010–2014 (MK6) Golf, Jetta, and Jetta SportWagen 2.5L models equipped with a factory Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF). Some MK6 applications may require minor fitting adjustments depending on model year and factory equipment.
The iE Intake Manifold is compatible with VW 2.5L engines equipped with electric power steering only. MK6 vehicles equipped with a hydraulic power steering pump located directly below the factory intake manifold are not compatible.
FAQs
Will this intake fit my stock intake manifold?
No. This intake system is engineered exclusively for vehicles equipped with the iE 2.5L Intake Manifold. The larger manifold relocates the throttle body, making it incompatible with the factory intake manifold.
Why won't my factory or aftermarket intake fit the iE Intake Manifold?
The iE Intake Manifold increases plenum volume and repositions the throttle body to improve airflow. Because of this new throttle body location, factory and most aftermarket intake systems no longer align correctly and require significant modification. This intake was engineered specifically to solve that problem.
Do I need this intake if I already own the iE Intake Manifold?
While it's possible to fabricate your own solution, this intake provides the easiest and cleanest installation. It delivers true bolt-on fitment, optimized airflow, integrated breather connections, and a factory-like finish.
Can I buy this intake with the manifold and ECU tune?
Yes. This intake is included in the complete iE 2.5L Ultimate Intake Manifold PowerKit, which combines the intake manifold, intake system, and required Stage 2 ECU tune into one complete performance package.
Does this intake require tuning?
No additional tuning is required. This intake is designed to work with the existing iE Stage 2 ECU software required for the iE Intake Manifold.
Will this intake fit my VW MK6 2.5L?
This intake fits most 2010–2014 Golf, Jetta, and Jetta SportWagen 2.5L models equipped with a factory Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) and electric power steering. On MAF-less applications, a factory MAF housing can be reused as a spacer and left unplugged to complete the installation.
Please note that some MK6 applications may require minor fitting adjustments depending on model year and factory equipment.
