How do I install the Audi B9 2.0T Stage 1 tune?

The Audi B9 A4 Stage 1 tune installs at home using the iE POWERlink V4 mobile flashing device. Connect to the OBD2 port and complete the EA888 Gen 3 longitudinal ECU upgrade directly from your iPhone or Android. No laptop, no ECU removal, no dealer visit required.

How much HP does the B9 2.0T tune add?

The iE B9 A4 performance tune increases output from the factory 252 HP to up to 424 HP, depending on fuel and hardware. These Audi B9 2.0T HP gains deliver stronger mid-range torque and significantly improved acceleration.

Do I need a TCU tune for B9 2.0T Stage 1?

Most 2021+ and some 2019–2020 models have a locked transmission computer. Our Audi B9 A4 Stage 1 tune includes custom torque management, allowing full advertised power without a B9 TCU unlock. If unlockable, adding the DSG tune improves shift speed and drivability.

Is tuning an Audi B9 safe for daily driving?

Can I really switch from 93 octane to E85 without reflashing?

Yes. The B9 A4 E85 flex fuel tune is available with iE TrueFlex hardware and fueling upgrades. The ECU automatically adjusts for ethanol content in real time, allowing you to run 91, 93, or full E85 without reflashing.

Will tuning hurt my fuel economy?

Our calibrations are optimized for performance, but many drivers report stock-like or even improved fuel economy during normal cruising. Increased efficiency in boost and ignition mapping can improve MPG when driving conservatively. Aggressive driving will always use more fuel.

Do I need to repurchase tunes when upgrading parts?

No. POWERlink Pro and Apex Suites include all supported files within your tier. Upgrade hardware and flash the appropriate file — no additional software purchases required.

For hardware, you will need the iE/TurboSystems Turbocharger, upgraded air intake, 5 Bar map sensors, intercooler, and VW Golf R injector upgrade (X4 injectors VW PN: 06K906036N and X4 injector clips VW PN: 06J133036F).

The best

Look stock said all was good stock was fun but not that heck yes your looking for when you buy an audi . Immediately I had a cel for poor fuel quality. At first I was mad but now I am thankful. The stage 1 tune basically realized when my ports were covered in deposits. After cleaning cel turned off and got full performance. Pair the right hardware and any support mods you can do . I wouldn't trade it for any car.

Very satisfied!

This is my second A5. The first one was tuned by a competitor. I decided to go with IE on this one and I'm very glad I did! The difference is huge! I bought the TCU tune as well. I plan on going stage 2 TrueFlex E 40-60 as soon as all the corresponding parts are installed.

2018 a5 sportback Stage 1 Pro ECU/TCU Tunes

Makes a huge difference over stock. I have a buddy that works at ECS that recommended IE for tuning. I went with stage 1 pro ecu and tcu tune, flashed the high torque profile as well. When i want to have fun its instant, the shifting is way smoother and your car doesnt try and immediately find the highest gear it can anymore. My gas mileage has also increased over stock numbers if im driving gently. I can average 31mpg city driving on my ***** to and from work.

Going stage 2 later on but so far, 10/10

Stage 1 insane!!

I usually never write reviews. In fact, this is my first ever. But I genuinely can't stop myself from writing this review. To put it simply, if you have the money, buy it. To lengthen the response a bit, it changes the car from a dad mobile to a baby supercar. I'm one to be pretty harsh about what "feels fast" to me, like if it's just visually fast, so what. But if your head gets pulled back, that's where it's fun. And this tune does just that! Granted, not as much as a supercar, but still genuinely impressive, hence me stating it's like a baby supercar. And all that is just stage 1! Can't wait until I get all the parts in for stage 2.
