Does this poly lid fit any MK8 intake?

No. This MK8 intake lid is engineered specifically for the iE MK8/8Y Intake System and will not fit non-iE intakes.

What does the poly lid actually do?

It delivers a clean OE+ look, protects the filter area, and completes the design language of your iE cold air intake system.

How long does installation take?

10–15 minutes with basic hand tools. It’s a simple bolt-on upgrade.

Is the polymer durable in a hot engine bay?

Yes. It’s resistant to heat, impervious to most cleaners and brake fluids, and will not fade.

Will this change the sound of my intake?

Because it’s only a partial enclosure, the sound still resonates freely in the bay. The difference is quite subtle.

Love it!

Absolutely love the clean, sharp look the poly lid gives the engine bay!! I've wanted a lid for my intake ever since I bought it 2 years ago. I'm not a fan of carbon fiber (especially for the price) so I ran it open with anticipation the poly lid would come later and they delivered! Great product as per usual from I.E.
