FITMENT NOTES
FWD only. This kit includes a mid pipe for front-wheel drive Gen 3 1.8T and 2.0T cars. AWD Quattro and 4Motion cars require the AWD MQB downpipe kit, part number IEEXCI1.
Audi A3 may require a 60 mm adapter, not included. VW Golf requires a 60 mm adapter, not included.
Stage 2 ECU tuning is required.
Yes. Stage 2 ECU tuning is required. For the most power we also recommend pairing it with the iE air intake and iE FDS intercooler.
FWD only. The included mid pipe fits front-wheel drive cars. Golf R, S3 and other AWD cars need the AWD kit, part number IEEXCI1.
Yes. It includes a high-flow 200 cell metal matrix catalytic converter mounted close to the turbo for full power with reduced emissions and smell.
No. The thick wall tubing and cast sections deliver an aggressive, drone-free motorsport sound.
The downpipe, mid pipes, and all hardware. It replaces over 6 feet of factory tubing back to the catback.

Removal took me longer then the install (about 2.5 hours coming out 1.5 hrs going back in)of my new IE downpipe and my stage 2 conversation. Absolutely feels like a different car and has a great deeper tone.. waiting to add my catback as soon as it arrive!

Love the sound, love the performance gains. Definitely notice a growl when starting the car, the crackle pop feature is civilized, and I can feel the difference between stage 1 and stage 2. I had a professional mechanic do the install because I don't have a lift. The mechanic did offer some constructive feedback that it's fits so much like a glove that the cross brace that sits below the downpipe is very very close, like 1/8" to the downpipe. Not sure if that cross brace is necessary, but it's a tight fit.

Incredible sound! I originally had a 100-cell downpipe with the Trueflex tune -- prior to installing IE's 200-cell downpipe -- that had crazy drone and not the best tone. But now my car doesn't sound borderline catless and I've yet to see a decrease in power! My only regret is that I didn't get this sooner.
