IS YOUR STOCK INLET ROBBING POWER?

The factory-installed plastic turbo inlet found installed on your VW or Audi Gen 3 1.8T or 2.0T TSI engine is adequate enough for stock cars with factory hardware and ECU calibrations. However, the necked-down design becomes a major flow restriction when ran with power upgrades such as cold air intakes, intercoolers, downpipes, and ECU upgrades.

EASY INSTALLATION

Your new turbo inlet pipe has been in-house CNC machined and includes all required hardware to allow for a perfect and easy installation. View and download the install guide here.

REQUIRES AFTERMARKET INTAKE

Due to the larger size of your new inlet pipe, this must be installed with an aftermarket cold air intake. This is a direct install along with an IE V2 MK7/8V MQB Intake Kit (PN IEINCI11). A "universal" silicone adapter is supplied that will allow it to be adapted to most 3-inch cold air intakes (direct fit is not guaranteed with non-IE brand intake kits).

Works with stock intake

I recently installed this on my 2017 A3 quattro. I really like the quality and the larger opening to the inlet pipe. I was able to get this to work well with the stock intake tube by using a 2.5" piece of exhaust pipe at 1" in width. Placed this on the inside of the stock plastic intake tube and used a piece of Duct tape wrapped around the inch metal piece so it would hold tight inside. Then cut the included piece of silicone hose down to about 2 inches and clamped it to the inlet pipe and slight the stock tube into the silicone adapter and clamped it again at the top portion. The 2.5 x 1 inch ring inside allows you to clamp tight at the top of the silicone piece.

Also wanted to mention that I was able to use the GFB DIV+ as well installing it before the new inlet pipe and grinding a small leading edge of the diverter valve to clear the clamp and hose. All in all it works great and the results are very noticeable.

Amazing Product

Yet another amazing product from IE, can't say enough good about their products. Finally got my CAI/Turbo Inlet... WOW, words cannot describe the sound difference and feel I get now when I drive my car. It brings a smile to my face every time I open up the throttle.

Highly recommend this for your Golf R!

Quick and easy install, thanks to my brother in-law!

I definitely felt a big difference with the larger housing of the turbo inlet pipe that I have recieved. My turbo can breathe a considerable amount of more air than it was used to seeing with just the stock turbo inlet pipe. I love the machinery and attention to detail that went into making this product for my gti. I also want to thank Tommy B for all the help with choosing which turbo inlet for my car. I know there are a lot of different companies out there that make them, but he helped me choose the right path to go on with more parts to get in the future for my car!!

Completes the CAI set up

Added this to the IE 8v updated Cold Air intake and you can feel and hear the turbo breathing better. Good affordable add on that is a must to get the most out of your aftermarket intakes.

Another Good Quality Part

Got this installed recently on my 2019 GLI by MalthouseMotorWorks here in Las Vegas, NV and I like it. It has good air flow and turbo is breathing like it should now. If your in the market for a turbo inlet pipe this is one to get for sure. Only down side that might be a thing for some people is at the moment the only known diverter valve part that will work with it is a turbosmart BOV/recirculating unit. It clears and works with the IE inlet pipe just fine. I hope that this gets out because I know some people I knew were concerned about the inlet pipe not working with DV + and other units.
